    Feeling worried about security?

Feeling secure is the right of every resident. Statistics show older Victorians are the least likely to be the victims of crime whereas younger people are more likely.

Victoria Police has produced The Confident Living for Older Victorians program coordinated by Victoria Police and funded by the Department of Juctice in conjunction with other emergency services.

The program is designed to help older Victorians stay healthy and feel safe in their homes and in the broader community. Basic crime prevention strategies are also covered, including:

Developing a safety plan for all situations.
    Using public transport.
    Using ATM’s.
    Using your car.
    Food and nutrition.
    Fire safety.
    Services for seniors.

    Neighbourhood Disputes and Conflict Resloution

Are you experiencing conflict with another party and are unsure where to get help? Maybe getting the police involved may not help diffuse the situation. In certain circumstances there is an alternative for conflict resolution as long as the conflict does not involve stalking, criminality and family violence. Matters involving stalking violence, criminality and family violence should be referred to police for action.
